Richard James Allen has been asked to choreograph a new music video for Australian singer/songwriter Paul Greene.Work Love Dance Trustwill be directed byJakub Jacko and designed by Kate E. Wills, who designed Sleepwalking and a number of other Physical TV projects including Thursday’s Fictions.The idea is to depict a world of automaton-like factory workers who, through their imaginative dance play, transform their drudgery into creativity, their constriction into freedom.
Expressions of interest are sought from dancers who might like to be involved.Richard says, “We may set up auditions, or we may be able to just bring you into the rehearsal process and call that an audition, or if we have worked together recently I may simply be able to invite you into the process.”
The shoot date is currently planned for Saturday June 13, 2009.
Rehearsal times and locations TBA – but please advise your rehearsal time availability in the period between now and then.
Shooting location TBA, but may be Studio 14 near Broadway.
Approximately 12-16 performers are sought with technical skills in contemporary dance, physical theatre and/or ballet and a willingness to improvise and contribute creatively if necessary.
All ages, shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply.
There will be a small fee paid to you.
